Conditions
Plantar fasciitis is a very common condition that causes pain under the heel of the foot. It can affect one foot or both feet. Pain is usually under the heel or in arch of the foot. People with plantar fasciitis will usually get pain in the heel after sitting (or sleeping) for a long period of time.
There are many different causes of plantar fasciitis. The podiatrists at Heather Bassett Podiatry Group are trained to find the cause of your plantar fasciitis. Once we know the cause of your foot pain we can then devise a treatment plan to best suit your needs.
Treatment may involve a stretching plan, specialised strapping and the use of insoles (or orthotics). In some severe cases of plantar fasciitis surgery may be indicated.
Don't put up with this condition, call now to discuss treatment options for your heel pain.
