It is important to stretch your muscles before and after exercise. The podiatrists at Heather Bassett Podiatry Group will prescribe an individual stretching program designed to prevent injuries during exercise. The podiatrist will prescribe the stretches you should do, as well as providing you with detailed diagrams on how to perform these stretches. Specific information such as how often and how long you do the stretch for will be advised by you podiatrist.
Children who toe walk and walk intoed may require specific stretches of the hips, legs and feet to assist in their development.
